Mbocayaty: A German couple was attacked and severely abused. The criminals apparently took advantage of the fact that the local police station is no longer staffed due to personnel changes.

According to reports from neighbors, there were apparently no police forces at the Capitán Samudio police station, as there have been several transfers this week and it is said to be practically closed.

This was taken advantage of last night by three bandits in the area of Costa Mbocayaty, in the district of Mbocayaty of the department of Guairá.

The two victims are the German couple Olaf Kuewski and Nicole Beate Kampik Kuewski.

According to the victims' report, three people entered the property at around 6:30 p.m. with firearms, masks and caps. The Germans were about 100 meters from their house, on a eucalyptus plantation, where the victims walk every day.

The alleged perpetrators yelled at the victims and explained that it was a robbery. They then tied up and abused the Germans. What exactly was stolen is currently unknown, as the victims are in shock.

The 9th police station from Mbocayaty is investigating the case.

Neighbors in the zone are asking for a quick solution to the Guairá Police Department regarding the replacement of the police station, apparently no one has taken action on this matter to date.
