Lawyer César Martínez Téllez reported that he has already been the victim of several threats and an attack 10 days ago when his home was shot at in the early hours of the morning. That incident was recorded on video and the bullets hit his gate and his car. He claimed that the Prosecutor's Office is not making progress with the investigation and is not even requesting images from more cameras in the area.



Attorney César Martínez Téllez denounced the inaction of the Attorney General's Office to investigate the threats and the most recent attack he suffered when he was leaving his home on November 16. He said that the criminals knew his routine, as they shot at his house just as he was leaving to get into his vehicle early in the day.

“When I was about to leave, they started shooting , in the middle of people leaving the bars around my home; they didn't care about the large crowd. (The bullets) pierced a metal gate and three layers of metal in my car ,” he explained.

The bullet marks were left on the gate, the wall and the door of the house and the vehicle . The lawyer said that this is part of a series of coercion, threats and attempted attacks, “with large vehicles.” The incident was recorded on a security video, where it is seen that a person only sticks one arm out of the car window to fire the shots.

Lawyer denounced fiscal inaction
The lawyer said that his case is not moving forward in the Prosecutor's Office and the agent in charge has not even initiated proceedings or requested more videos to identify those who attempted to take his life. He said that agents from the Homicide and Investigations departments of the Police request search warrants and requests for closed circuit videos, but the Prosecutor's Office does not make the requests and evidence is being lost.

He stressed that there were people around at the time of the attack, as his house is close to nightclubs. However, despite this, the Public Prosecutor's Office is not making any progress in the case.


Why did they attempt to take his life?

The lawyer said that he knows who attempted to kill him , as it is part of a series of threats that have been made against him. He said that everything stems from a dispute over the concession of Line 18.

"They are people with a history of attacks against me, who have usurped line 18 with pirates and carried out acts of vandalism in public places to distort the operation of line 18, who live outside the law, who counterfeit products and are involved in the criminal world, who are professionals in this," he said.

He said that what they are looking for is to displace him from the public transport business.
