"Human Rights Trampled On:
On the afternoon of November 29, 2024, at the gate of the "El Paraíso Verde" Barrio Cerrado in Caazapá, an unacceptable and arbitrary act took place that massively violated both Paraguayan law and the fundamental human rights of the settlers.

A landowner and his visitor were denied access to the EPV. In the first case, admission was refused because the birthday party of the president of the Reljuv, Dr. Erwin Annau, was being held at the time. In the second case, no justification was provided at all.

In similar cases that occurred a few months ago, the justice of the peace ruled that every landowner may enter El Paraíso Verde at any time and without restriction, and that every settler in the EPV may also receive unannounced visits at any time.

The EPV's "border controls" require settlers to open the trunk of their car, and all windows must be opened for inspection. These "security measures" were approved by the Reljuv administration without the consent of the majority of the settlers living in El Paraíso Verde.

A settler's comment:
"The big problem is that even some settlers think that they are a moral authority, and want to decide if this is a good visit or a bad visit that my neighbor have invited here.
DDR 2.0?? It is inconceivable that here in Paraguay, supposedly awakened emigrants they call themselves, feel the need to judge the neighbor's visit.
Also, the founders of the EPV showed yesterday with the refusal of access in two cases, by guards paid by us, how great the fear is of settlers who will not come to terms with the monarchy in the EPV."

Threats of lawsuits are frequently used in Paraguay to pressure the media into deleting news articles.
